Many scientists are available to consult with journalists, legislators, field managers, other scientists, and the public on various ecological and environmental issues. NBII provides access to these expertise directories through the links below. Questions about the contents of these databases should be addressed to the entity listed as the Publisher of the database or directory.
Ecological Information Network (EIN)
The NBII and the Ecological Society of America partnered to create the Ecological Information Network (EIN) a database of experts across a wide variety of ecological disciplines and specialties. The scientists listed in EIN have generously volunteered their time and skills to consult with journalists, resource managers, policymakers, the public, and their fellow scientists on topics of concern. Ecologists interested in registering in the EIN system may also do so from the Web site.
